Have you ever looked at an awesome picture and decided you want to make an OC from it?

This is the picture in question.
History
A semi-modern day earth was one day greeted with hordes of machines that descended from outside space. An unspoken catastrophethat i haven't come up with yet drove them from their home and they all found themselves here. The transition wasn't smooth for anyone, unfortunately. Some robots changed for the sake of adapting and others didn't. Likewise, some humans were willing to welcome their foreign companions and others weren't. This leads to quite a few problems between humans and machines and leaves both sides questioning if peace can be reached between the two races.
Attempts have been made with mixed results. Years passed and thing have progressed little beyond a standstill. It's become clear that they're here to stay, whether they like it or not, though negotiations have at least been attempted, though the robots' superior technology has them labeled as threats by default. Humans raced to find countermeasures for their own protection and in some places, legally require machines to obey strict living conditions or risk deactivation. Some places were more welcoming than that and treat them like brothers. Activists on both sides complicate matters, with some even campaigning for the removal of the other.
In short, it's a mixed bag.
Koh, however, isn't quite as involved in all of that. In addition to arriving years after his fellow machines, Koh wasn't activated until after his crash landing. This leaves him as completely unaware of where he comes from, what's going on and how he came to be, much like a newborn puppy. His capsule landed near a countryside village in Japan, where he was understandably met with skepticism. Tensions were high between the two races and this all human village thought him one of the less friendly. The yet nameless Koh found himself unable to fight off their claims and retreated. The town was visited by the actually less friendly robots shortly afterwards and held one of the children, a young boy named Susano, at gunpoint. Through the Wolf's intervention, the robots were fended off and Susano saved. This swayed the people enough to allow him to stay with them and offer the pup a home. He turned out to be popular with the children, who opted to name him Okomemaru, which was shortened to Koh.
Personality
Once the wolf was settled in, Koh was slowly coming into his own and developed a sense of loyalty towards the village. Sure, they were hostile at first, but they took him in and, like a puppy, he quickly grew attached to them, anyway. Living in the countryside made him strongly fascinated with nature and he can often be seen tending to flowers and crops. Sometimes, he even sleeps in flower beds. He enjoys flowers so much that one of his latent abilities formed when he found himself in a field of flowers thay wasn't there before. By etching certain alien symbols into something and touching it, he can trigger a multitude of effects, depending on the symbol.
As mentioned in his history, Koh wasn't activated until after he landed on earth, putting him at a much younger mental age than the others. He's a puppy in the body of a wolf, so it's common for him to be unfamiliar with a subject or take a simplistic viewpoint towards it. He often relies on instinct to guide him, but will certainly listen to others and learn from their words and opinions. Funny enough, he spends most of his time with the children of the village. They attached themselves to him very quickly and he grew to like them in turn. He plays with them, cuddles them and learns with them, particularly young Susano, who idolized the wolf.
But for as loving and innocent as he can be, he is still, in essence, an animal. A young animal, at that. He relies on instinct to guide him through things he doesn't understand, which can be a good or a bad thing depending on the circumstances. A frightened animal may try to defend itself, for example. He doesn't hold back in battle, meaning he has no problem killing another if he feels he has to. At the same time, his young mind is easily influenced, letting him believe what others tells him as he struggles to learn about the world around him. Tied in with his strong sense of loyalty, this can lead to complications, if those he trusts decide they want a lap dog to do their bidding. His loyalty to humans, for example; Koh feels indebted to them for taking him in, particularly those of the village. If theu gave him an order, he would obediently follow it, but given his ability to come up with his own opinions, it can easily lead to internal struggles as he tries to determine the right thing to do.
Though mysterious and even a little intimidating, Koh is still a cuddly young wolf working his way through a world currently arguing with itself. Much of it flies over his head, but he's taking it one day at a time and learning everything he encounters and hopefully, learning more about himself along the way.
Combat abilities
Despite his innocent nature, Koh is far from a defenseless robot. He's well equipped with a pair of energy projection handles that can shift between two forms: energy discs which can double as shields or focusing the energy into blades. His arms can morph into high energy plasma cannons.
One of his key abilities is etching symbols into objects or enemies. He most commonly uses this ability to spontaneously grow flowers or sometimes even crops, but the effects span from manipulation of the elements (earth, fire, wind, water, heartelectricity) to full on attacks. When used on others, the symbols have to be etched into their skin or armor, which he usually does through a series of quick slashes, much like Zorro. The symbol disappears after the ability is used, meaning it must be carved into them again if he wants to use it again.
Unlike most of the other robots, Koh can recharge his energy through sunlight. While charging, his body can repair itself, making him very self-sufficient. Its not a quick process, however, so Koh usually sleeps through it. He can speed up the process by entering safe mode, in which his body shifts into a hand held device and drastically reduces his movements and capabilities. He can easily be picked up and pocketed like this, but he can still communicate in this form. One feature this allows is a superhero-esque transformation for the person holding him, but only if Koh fully consents. Given this means lending his powers to another, he'd have to strongly trust them before he would even consider it.

This is the picture in question.
